Use Powershell to add hyperlinks in MS Word footnotes

The PowerShell script posted here: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/scripting/hey-scripting-guy-how-can-i-use-windows-powershell-to-add-hyperlinks-to-a-word-document/#comments
. . . works well to add links into a Word document, but it does not add them in the footnotes. Does anyone know how to edit the script to so that references in the footnotes are also linked?
