Hi all,

I need to know why or how SCCM manage these states:

User's image

As you can see we have 26 Downloaded update(s). What this mean?

When I login inside some of these devices the updates in software center have the state "failed".

Why they don't move to error? Why still in progress?

How SCCM update this state? What should I search in the logs?

Regards and TIA!!!

    Hi, @Sergi Díaz Ruiz

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

The "Downloaded" state in SCCM means that the update content files have been downloaded to the local cache on the client computer.

When an update deployment fails, the updates may remain in a "In Progress" state instead of moving to an "Error" state.

This can occur if the client is unable to download the update content files or if there are issues with the installation process.

To troubleshoot these issues, you can check the CAS.log, ContentTransferManager.log, and DataTransferService.log files for errors. Additionally, you can verify that the client is in the appropriate boundary associated with the boundary group for the distribution point.
