Deployment Failed in SharePoint On-Premises 2019 App Catalog

We are experiencing a persistent issue whenever we deploy an SPFx package in the App Catalog on a specific server. Even when uploading a simple "Hello World" web part package with no added configurations, the issue persists. We can upload the package to the AppCatalog but when we try to Deploy it results in the error: Deployment Failed.

Below are the relevant events from the ULS logs and the only ones with the "Unexpected" status:

Level Message
Unexpected Failed to retrieve the Tenant App Catalog Component Manifests List
Unexpected Could not find componenet manifest list

We have verified the following:

  1. User Account used to upload the package has SCA Permission in the App Catalog

ComponentManifests list exists

At this point we suspect that there is a permissions issue somewhere in the system but cannot find any documentation on which service is doing the actual deployment. Any assistance would be helpful.

    Hi @John Marañon ,

According to my research and testing, please check the permissions of the current user , you need to verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the site Owners group.

Here is some documentation on how to "Upload app to App Catalog", you can refer to.

    Reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/administration/manage-the-app-catalog#add-apps-to-the-app-catalog

    https://support.shortpoint.com/support/solutions/articles/1000272461-installation-step-1-upload-shortpoint-spfx-to-app-catalog-sharepoint-2019-

Check if ShortPoint SPFx has been successfully deployed or why it failed and id by looking the App Package Error Message column in the app catalog.Deployment failed error

Go back to the app catalog, delete the app and upload and deploy it again.
