My computer always updates automatically, and I don't want it to happen. Whenever I am conducting certain teaching or meetings, automatic updates can seriously affect the progress of these tasks, which makes me very distressed. How can it be prevented from doing so?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

We noticed that you have previously asked a similar question, please refer to the following link. May I ask if the method I provided did not solve your problem?

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1689215/automatic-system-update

I'm sorry if I couldn't solve your problem. We suggest you try the following new methods:

    • When your system is Windows 11. Open Windows Settings, and then click 'windows update'.User's image Then, in the Windows Update section, find the pause update and choose to 'pause for 5 weeks'.

    • When your system is Windows 10. Open Windows Settings, and then click 'Update and Security'.Then, in the Windows Update section, click on "Advanced Options".In the advanced options, you can close all items in the "Update Options" or select "Pause Update".

But this pause update can only be paused for up to 35 days. After reaching the pause limit, you need to obtain new updates first before pausing the update again.

I hope it can help you.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
