On Windows 11, when using Media Foundation to capture video streams and frequently inserting a camera, calling the IMFActivate:: Activated Object function to retrieve the IMFMediaSource * object occasionally causes it to freeze for 5-10 minutes. This will cause all cameras on the computer to be unusable, and software restarts will not be able to restore them. You must wait for 5-10 minutes or restart the operating system before you can recover.

According to your description, could you please tell us whether after you frequently inserting multiple cameras, and then you create an instance of a capture device, occasionally causes it to freeze for 5-10 minutes? Does the same problem occur if a single camera is frequently plugged and unplugged? Before you create an instance of the capture device, whether have you enumerate the video capture devices on the system? Does the same issue occur when you try to use the official sample?
