Hi,

I have a strange issue with one user. We have dozens of users using RDP, but this one user experiences RDP connection drops every day, only when he starts working. Usually it happens between 07:50 and 08:00 AM and he loses the connection just once and the connectivity gets back within 30 seconds. The rest of the day he can work just fine. Nobody else has this and there is no unusual network connectivity during or before that time.

What I've done:

  • Checked for unusual network connectivity. Found nothing
  • Deleted the RDP cache
  • Disabled bitmap caching for RDP
  • Disk cleanup
  • DISM
  • Chkdsk - Sfc scan
  • Fully updated his Windows 10 installation
  • Deleted unnecessary files/programs that might conflict
  • Rebooting his machine

Despite all of that the issue still persists and I don't know what more I can do to fix this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hello,

Please pay special attention to the following aspects when troubleshooting:

    1. Since this issue is specific to only one user, check for any user-specific configurations or software that may be causing the problem. Includes checking Scheduled tasks: Verify that any scheduled tasks are running on a user's computer or server during a particular period of time that could cause a brief network outage.
    2. Make sure the network drivers and firmware on the user's computer are up to date. And double check that the user remote desktop version is updated.

If the problem persists, check the event logs on the user's computer and server for any errors or warnings before and after the disconnection. Before viewing the query, enable "Show Analytic and Debug Logs."图片

The RDP log is located in Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > TerminalServices-ClientActiveXCore & RemoteDesktopServices-RdpCoreTS

    Best regards

    Jacen
