How do I get Windows 10 back on my PC?

My Windows 10 PC crashed, 100% unrecoverable. I have the Windows 10 key code. I lost the recovery media for Windows 10. I bought a new hard drive and installed windows 8, not 8.1, on it in order to access the internet. I had thought of upgrading 8 to 8.1 and then to 10, which now seems cannot be done.

So, I intend to wipe the drive before reinstalling windows 10 again. Unfortunately for me I am unable to access the Microsoft Store or download any media creation tool that works, probably due to end of support of windows 8. (I downloaded the Windows 10 media creation tool and it does not work) I keep getting notices to update to 8.1 but run into the same problem and cannot find the update to convert 8 to 8.1.

Can anyone give me that update or even better a windows 10 installation media?

As I said above I have the windows 10 key code.
