OfficeTask's AssignedTo DomainB\User is different from Task's AssignedTo DomainA\User

I have written event receiver which changes task being assigned in Tasks list. It checks if task is being assigned to DomainB\User then it actually assigns it to DomainA\User.
I can see task is successfully assigned to DomainA\User but still user is unable to complete task as he receives error that task is not assigned to you.
Upon checking logs I found this error as shown in title of this post. Do you guys know what is OfficeTask and is it a different list than Tasks where tasks are being assigned?

Try to manually assign task to DomainB\User, then assign task to DomainA\User, check whether the issue exists.

2024-07-31T12:24:03.3+00:00 If I reassign task using button given on infopath form then it works fine. In event receiver I am simply changing user in ItemAdding event i.e. even before task is assigned and then update in Tasks list.

2024-07-31T13:17:56.92+00:00 For some reason the comment I posted before is not visible so I am posting again.
When I reassign task using Reassign Task button on InfoPath form then it works fine (this is OOTB functionality). User is able to complete task. But in case of event receiver, I am updating AssignedTo field in ItemAdding event i.e. before task is assigned. So, before task is assigned, I change user value from DomainB\User to DomainA\User and save it in AssignedTo field.
Seems like there is more going on at backend when you use Reassign Task button instead of just updating AssignedTo field in "Tasks" list.

2024-08-06T07:36:46.6766667+00:00 In the ItemAdding event, try to first set AssignedTo field as DomainB\User, then separately update AssignedTo field to DomainA\User.
