I am simply trying to download a launcher so I can add mods to minecraft. I tried Prism and I tried Forge because everyone loves them to add cool texture packs and mods. But Chrome keeps saying unverified download blocked! I went to settings and turned on no protection under security because everybody says that helps but my downloads are still blocked! I wanted to download free mod and texture packs with the launchers like other people do but Chrome won't stop blocking my dang downloads!
I have the Avast Secure Browser because it was the only thing that let me watch the anime I wanted. Do I really have to get rid of it just because Chrome won't let me download a simple minecraft mod launcher?

You may try a different browser.
Disable Safe browsing temporarily.
Make sure Allow all sites to automatically download multiple files option is enabled.

Thanks for your post. Generally speaking, if you can always choose to download a file after you receive a warning from Chrome, but take download warnings seriously.
