Thanks everyone that replied back to me.
I have resolved this by rebootin the Virtual Machine that had my "good profile" on and this seemed to release it so FSLogix could saved it in the file share location.
After this I did some testing, removed icons from desktop, pinned some to taskbar and these followed me when I logged in to different pools and desktops.
What I was hopping to achieve was a way to see what was locking my profile and how I could release that lock without the need of a reboot.

    Happy Xmas everyone
    M

Could you please check the following:

    • Navigate to the folder where the vxdx is stored.
    • Verify if there is a file with the extension `*.lock``
    • Open the *.lock file and see if there are some more details in the file. Even if the content is not "human readable" check if there is a computer name in the lock file.

(If the reply was helpful please don't forget to upvote and/or accept as answer, thank you)

    Hey!

Fslogix now (from the latest version) uses the SID of the local include\exclude groups. So if the GPO is set up to Replace instead of Update, it will stop working after a gpupdate within users session. This because the local groups get recreated and get new SIDs. VHDX will then not detach at logoff, and users folder still be under C:\Users..

Based on your symptoms, I would have checked the GPO`s and make sure that the group settings are set to Update and NOT Replace.

    Regards
    Fredrik

It`s not in the FSLogix templates / registry settings.

in our environment, we added those settings on the image (computer management), and not in GPO. The update/replace options are not there. Will this also affecting us?
