Hi All,

We have a WPF application built on .Net Framework 4.8. This application must be able to run on 'Windows Server 2008 R2'.

Since 'Windows Server 2008 R2' does not have .Net Framework 4.8, we tried to install it on this server but ended up getting the below error:

'.Net framework has not be installed because:

The timestamp signature and/or certificate could not be verified or is malformed'.

Can anyone please let us know as to how to resolve the above error and install the framework successfully?

Or if there is any other way in which we can run our application on Windows Server 2008 R2?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

This may mean that you need to install an update on the server. See 2019 SHA-2 Code Signing Support requirement for Windows and WSUS.
