Remove Notes in Contact Section of Teams

I am an IT admin. I have a user who just added Teams but when he selects his profile, under the Contact information tab, there is a Notes section that has a bunch of information that needs to be removed. Upon looking in all cloud admin portals (including EntraID and Exchange Online) and our on-prem AD, I cannot find where any of that information is stored nor can see where I can clear it. The notes or address section in those portals all show empty. When I go to his profile in Teams, I do not see that information. We need it cleared and I also need a way to see if anyone else has any information stored.

    Hi @Joey Marshall

According to our tests, in the Microsoft Teams profile, there is usually no "Notes" section under the "Contact Information" tab. This section may be a custom property synchronized from other Microsoft 365 services (such as Exchange Online or Azure AD).

It is recommended that you try the following methods to troubleshoot:

    Exchange Online:

Log in to the Exchange Admin Center as an administrator. Navigate to "Recipients" > "Mailbox".

Select the relevant user and edit its properties to see if there are custom properties or notes fields.

    User's image

    Azure AD (Entra ID):

Log in to the Azure Management Portal as an administrator. Navigate to "Azure Active Directory" > "Users".

Select the relevant user and view its properties to check if there are custom fields.

    User's image

After completing the modification and saving, you need to wait for a while and log in again to apply the changes.

In addition, you can also check and delete the user's Notes information by using PowerShell scripts, which is beyond my ability. Thanks for your understanding and support.
