how to fix Failed to initialize SmartAudio. The application will exit. in Windows 11

Since Windows 11 Pro update to version 24h2 i get the message "Failed to initialize SmartAudio. The application will exit" and no sound from my Conexant speakers or other speakers

    Hi Joyce,

    Thanks for your post. We have experienced similar issue that can resolved by uninstalling audio driver and application from Device Manager > Reboot > Reinstall audio driver. If no help, please try the following method.

    1. Stop the CxAudioSvc
    2. Go to Add Remove Programs. Typed in Audio in the search and opened Audio Controls (Synaptics Hong Kong Limited)
    3. Click on Advanced Options and scroll down.
    4. Click on both Repair and Reset buttons (see image)
    5. Start the CxAudioSvc service again, and see it takes effect.
