Please help! I cannot install Microsoft Edge or WebView2.

This problem appeared yesterday when I tried to install Maxon App, it said "The following error occurred during installation: err.sys.script-execution-failed: Script execution failed for task: postflight-service". There was a window pop up saying: "There was a problem installing. Error code: 0x8004070f". I opened Task manager to check and I knew it was WebView2 installation. So I tried to Download Edge as expect it to install WebView2 automatically, I also tried Edge for Business, WebView2 installation but everything end up with the same error: "There was a problem installing. Error code: 0x8004070f"

I remembered that I had Edge and WebView2 installed before. But it's because I installed Minecraft Launcher from Microsoft Store and it automatically install Edge, WebView2 and GameInput. I uninstalled everything via CCleaner but whenever I launch my Launcher again it started to download again. I felt frustrated so I tried to removed it by myself, I edit the registry key so that It wont be download again (but I cannot remember what I've changed) I also remove the Edge and EdgeUpdate folder from C/Program Files/Microsoft and C:\Program Data or some Package folder (I don't remember it).

Maybe that cause the problem? Please help me!

I tried EdgeChromiumBlockerToolkit before, I just tried to unblock edge and nothing works:

Apologies for my misspelling, misunderstanding and bad grammar as I'm an Asian.

    Hello Hoàng Xuân Lâm.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you can't reinstall the Edge.

Edge and Webview2 are basically part of the system components, which is why Microsoft does not provide an uninstallation solution.

The current situation is most likely caused by some uninstallation remnants or missing dependencies that are preventing you from installing Edge.

First, you need to make sure that all Edge-related folders under these paths have been deleted.

    *C:\Users\“user name"\AppData\Local\Microsoft*

    *C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft*

If it can't work let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system

without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up

before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow

the steps in the following guides:

How to perform an In-place Upgrade with Windows 10 Step-by-Step Guide - Microsoft Community

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,
