PowerPoint math equation in table compatibility issues [macOS -> online version]

I am creating PowerPoint files on macOS and then publish them for students in Microsoft Teams. Unfortuantly, there are recurring issues with math formulas not being displayed. I attach two screenshots to this thread. How would I report such a bug to Microsoft and what are my chances of this getting resolved quickly? Also, are there workarounds that I can use right now and which keep the filetype (so no "export to PDF solution")? Why does this issue even appear? Is anyone aware of any official report to Microsoft about this that I can follow?

As far as I can tell, it is only an issue within the table and not within text for example. Funny enough, when I open the pptx file in Microsoft Teams, it displays the formulas in the table for a hot second before they vanish. So that makes me think it is an issue with the online version of PowerPoint and how it interprets the file?

    Hi @wizthis

    I did test in my environment (Mac OS 10.14.6) and found this issue also reproduced on PowerPoint Online. It look like this issue is not related to Team's behavior. I will try our best to research this issue. If there is any news, we will update it as soon as possible.

    As a workaround, you can try to use the keyboard to print math equation instead of using Math Equation in PowerPoint. For example:

    x = x * y
