    Hi,

I suggest you to try the following steps to remove the write protection of e-reader.

The e-reader might have a write-protection button on the side that has slid down. Push the button back into place and try inserting it into the computer again. Read the manual that came with the e-reader for help.

    Method 1:

If the issue persistsYou may  try the following steps to delete the write protected files.

    a.    Press Windows key + X and type regedit.

    b. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CONTROL > StorageDevicePolicies

    c.    Locate “WriteProtect”, double click and change value from 1 to 0

    Registry disclaimer

To do so: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    Method 2:

    If the issue persists,

    a. Plugin the e-reader into the computer

    b. Go to My Computer and under Devices with Removable Storage look for your e-reader.

    c. Right-click on it and click Properties

    d. In the pop-up box, sometimes there's an option to Remove write-protection. Change the status of this option and try again.

    Hope it helps.

Please revert if you face issues related to Windows and we will be happy to help you.
