I am a user of Visual Studio Professional 2013. The version is Version 12.0.40629.00 Update 5, Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.8.03752. A couple of days ago, VS 2013 started to crash when I move a tab around or split the window. As VS 2013 is an old version, I can no longer report the issue via HELP->Feedback->Report a Bug menu due to "Microsoft Connect Has Been Retired". Is there any fix to the crash of VS 2013? I can only see the fix to VS 2019. Due to the license, I can't upgrade my VS to a new version. Some posts suggest to remove the Windows 10 updates KB4598299 and KB4598301. However, I can't find these updates on my computer.

    Not sure there is a good option here. I would if have not done so tried doing a repair of visual studio 2013. Other suggestion is to disable any visual studio 2013 add in or extensions you might have installed.

    Are you running vs 2013 in one of the supported operating systems? Final question is what type of project are you working on?

    Windows 7 SP1 (x86 and x64)
    Windows 8 (x86 and x64)
    Windows 8.1 (x86 and x64)
    Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (x64)
    Windows Server 2012 (x64)
    Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64)

    I have run a Repair on VS 2013 that doesn't fix the crash. My OS is Windows 10 version 1909, build 18363.1440.

    VS 2013 may be too old to run on Windows 10.

    I use VS for C++.
