number button not working

in my keyboard 1 num button is not working and i am using it through numpad but i am not able to use exclamatory mark button which is accessed by pressing shift button. The number is working when i my laptop is in sleep mode or when i start my laptop it starts typing on its own and when i try to use it it is not working .so can someone help me troubleshoot this problem and i tried by updating my driver .

    Thanks for the reply. Please try the following:

    1. Run Keyboard troubleshooter:

    Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot.

    Select Other Troubleshooters

    Scroll down and select Keyboard, then click on Run.

    1. Press Windows + R, type "control" and hit Enter.

    Click "Ease of Access" > "Change how your keyboard works".

    Uncheck "Turn on Mouse Keys".

    Uncheck "Turn on Sticky keys".

    Uncheck "Turn on Toggle Keys".

    Uncheck the "Turn on Filter keys"

    click apply then ok.

    1. Press Windows + X > Select Device Manager

    Expand the Keyboards section.

    Right-click on Standard PS/2 keyboard driver and select Uninstall

    Click Uninstall.

    Restart your computer.

    It the issue persists, Press Windows + R then type MSINFO32 then hit Enter:

    it worked without a problem a week ago.

    I did not make any changes to my laptop before the issue started.

    Make is Lenovo and model is 81WB

    with the external keyboard it is working.

    What changes did you make to your computer before the issue started?

    Based on your description, this can be a software or a hardware issue.
