Microsoft Authenticator app

Question

I have a friend who is having an issue with the app and doesnt know what to do

she reset her phone and laptop, so now for the authenticator app, when on the phone it says authenticate using the shown code on the device and enter code into other device, but since its not logged in on laptop either it says the same thing, and since neither are logged in she can't enter the code in anywhere

I have left a school district and my accounts are locked.

I have my own MS account and all software/LTs are mine!!

I would like the authenticator window to stop coming up on my LT asking me to sign into my dead-locked school accounts.

I cannot get them to go away.

How do I get rid of this and the districts possible access to my laptops?

How do I kill these accounts on my side??

Is there yet some other software to block this?

It would help to understand what an authenticator actually is and does..in hindsight.
