App service stop reading .htaccess and web.config files.

My website inner/sub page on refresh showing 404 not found from last 6 days. This start happening after your automated scheduled update. Server is not reading .htaccess file and web.config file from last 6 days. Can technical team reset settings to start reading the .htaccess file.

Thanks for posting the question. I understand this issue could be frustrating, apologies for any inconvenience and delayed response here.
I have checked there isn’t any known issues after the platform updates. Before beginning worldwide updates, we deploy first to a private region which is not commonly accessible.

Could you please share more details about your application framework? On which region have you provisioned the WebApp?

Kindly check to see if App Service diagnostics provides any pointers, it reduces the chance of trial and error and expedites problem resolution by recommending potential solutions.

To access App Service diagnostics, navigate to your App Service app in the Azure portal. In the left navigation, click on Diagnose and solve problems – Checkout the tile for “Diagnostic Tools” and “Availability and Performance”.

You can also always inspect the log files from the browser at https://<app-name>.scm.azurewebsites.net/api/logs/docker and leverage App Service diagnostics to fetch more details on the issue. If you haven’t done this already and if feasible restart the WebApp and then check to see if that helps.

You can also review the Azure Service Health and Azure resource health overview notifications to further narrow-down and diagnose the health of the resource.

Service Health - Service issues view shows any ongoing problems in Azure services that are impacting your resources. You can understand when the issue began, and what services and regions are impacted. You can also read the most recent update to understand what Azure is doing to resolve the issue.

Resource health- helps you diagnose and get support when an Azure issue impacts your resources. It informs you about the current and past health of your resources and helps you mitigate issues. Resource health provides technical support when you need help with Azure service issues.
