Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I think what you mentioned is this extension: “LaTeX Workshop” right? As you can see, it is under Visual Studio Code(VS Code) category, and you are using Visual Studio(VS). VS and VS Code are two different products, so “LaTeX Workshop” extension is used for VS Code but not for VS.
