SQL server SKU

SQL sever sku is empty. One of my SQL server does not assigned any sku details. I want to know why sku is unassigned for the SQL server?

Are you trying to create an Azure SQL Database?

in one subscriptions multiple sql server has been created. I am trying to fetch sku for the all SQL serve using resource list API. I found one SQL server sku is empty. my questions why that sku is empty. I believe sku is mandatory for SQL server.

When you say the SKU is empty, are you referring to the server by any chance?

SKU is a property of the Azure SQL database and not the server itself.

Resource Type: "Microsoft.Sql/servers"

Resource Type: "Microsoft.Sql/servers/databases"

For Master DB, you might see that the sku name is system and not a recognized SKU
