How to quickly add a note in OneNote on Mac - using a global Keyboard Shortcut

I used to use Evernote on Mac which had a menu bar App so I could rapidly create a new Note whatever I was doing using a keyboard shortcut. On Windows OneNote I have similar functionality but on Mac 2016 version I can't find how to enable it. Can someone help?

    There are no global shortcuts in there only application ones.
