MSWord 2013: Revision pane automatically opens when adding or editing a comment

Hi,

The "Revision pane" automatically opens when adding or editing a comment. It's annoying because it provides two views of the comments, one in the balloons, and one in the revision pane. I prefer to use balloons only.

I can manually close the revision pane every time it opens, but I would rather it doesn't automatically open in the first place. Could you indicate how to prevent it from automatically opening?

This is a screenshot of the tracking options:

Per screenshot below, I am not in draft view:

I am using MSWord 2013. This is what is displayed when going in File->Account:

"Product Activated

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013

Updates are automatically downloaded and installed

Version: 15.0.4859.1002"

In Track Change Options, please try setting the Balloons in All Markup view show: dropdown to Comments and formatting. That solved this problem for at least one other user.

    That worked, thank you.
