Sharepoint Store permissions

Hi,

I am getting increasingly frustrated with the Sharepoint Store. Yesterday as Site Owner I was unable to add apps, thankfully I was able to purchase apps by adding another Site Member and accessing the store from another browser logged on as the new member.

However, today when I try to access the store as that new Site Member I am now getting "Sorry, you don't have permissions to add apps here.". I don't think I changed anything between yesterday and today! To access the store I am:

(1) Accessing the site as the Site Member (no owner permissions)

(2) Settings > Add an App

(3) Sharepoint Store

Tada - "Sorry, you don't have permissions..."

Where are these permissions stored and how come I was able to do this yesterday and not today?

    Hi Raymond,

Here is a related article mentioned that the Full Control permission (or membership in the Site Owners group) is the minimum requirement for adding an app from the SharePoint Store.

    See: Request app installation permissions

To get the permission you can go to Gear > Site Settings > Site permissions > Grant Permissions > invite the user > Show options > Select a permission level > Team site owners > Share to try again.

    Regards,

    Jim
