Closing PPT and returning to desktop

I have a training presentation that is set up in kiosk mode and saved as .ppsx (show)file. When someone finishes the training,  I need for them to be able to close the file and go back to the desktop screen so the next person is able to click on a desktop icon and re start the training. I would like to do this as simple as possible by putting a clickable link on the last slide. When the link is clicked, Powerpoint will close (ALT-F4) and return the desktop screen. I'm guessing a script is needed but thats where my Powerpoint knowledge stops. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

If your .ppsx is started from the desktop screen, you can solve it by doing the following in your .ppsx file:

Insert a shape on the last slide. While shape is selected, click on Action on the Insert tab. Select Hyperlink to and then End Show in the drop down.
