We have setup user self-service password reset.  It has be working great.  but as of today.   When users try to reset there password, they getting the following error message.

"Your request could not be processed

We're sorry, but we cannot reset your password at this time. This is due to a temporary connectivity issue, so if you try again later, resetting your password may succeed. If the issue persists, please

contact your admin to reset your password for you. "

then if they click the Contact your admin link they get this message.

"Get back into your account Preview Temporary Error

There was a temporary error with your session. Please try resetting your password again by clicking here. "

We have tried with 4 different users, and with users that it has worked in the past.  I have tried 4 different browsers. (Edge, IE11, Chrome, Firefox).  Have tried it after reset all 4 browsers.

Any ideas?

    Hello Chris,

I believe the issue may that the service bus connector used by password-write-back within Azure, has stopped responding.

The resolution would be to disable and re-enable the password-write-back functionality, and restart the Microsoft Azure AD Sync service, then finally check in the Event Logs for Event ID 31005 (password-write-back up and running).

    Disable-OnlinePasswordWriteBack

    Enable-OnlinePasswordWriteBack

    Net Stop ADSync

    Net Start ADSync

    Hope this fixes your issue,
