Modifying Table Style - Header Row Font

Hi

I am using word 2016 and I am having issues creating/modifying table styles.

What I what to do is create a table style where the header row font is different to the font in the other rows of the table.  So, in the Modify Table style dialog box I selected Header Row in the Apply Formatting to dialog box and then selected my chosen font (Armata) and font size (14). Following this I set the rest of my table to be Lato Light (using the Even/odd banded rows from the Drop-down box). I was happy with my table and saved the style.

For some reason when I type in the heading of any table with my modified style the font is always Lato Light but the font size is what I set in the Modify Style Table box. So the font in the Header Row is Lato Light and the size is 14 when it should be Armata and size 14.

Is there something I'm missing or is there an issue with word?

Make sure that the document default font size matches the font size of your Normal paragraph style. This is necessary for the settings in the table style to work properly (although it sounds completely unrelated).

To change the document defaults, do the following: In the Styles pane (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), click the Manage Styles icon. On the Set Defaults tab, change the default font size to whatever size is defined for your Normal style. Click OK. (Alternatively, you can of course change the font size of the Normal style so that it matches whatever is the current default font size.)

    Hi Stefan

    Thanks for the reply.

It appears that my normal paragraph style and default font size match, both are font size 11.

    Here is my Normal style

and here is the manage styles screen

Change the font name to "Lato Light" as well. Change other settings too, so that everything matches. Sorry, I failed to clarify that in my previous reply.
