A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hi AndrejPirman,
From the screenshots, it appears OneDrive Files On-Demand is not enabled. When you turn on Files On-Demand, you’ll see all your files in File Explorer and get new information about each file.
With Files On-Demand enabled, your files will have these statuses in File Explorer (same as first screenshot in your post):
When this feature is tuned off, your files will have overlay icon same as shown in the second screenshot you provided.
If you wish to see the icons status in a separate column in File Explorer, please enable Files On-Demand. For this, follow the steps below:
- Right-click the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows taskbar notification area.
- Select Settings.
- On the Settings tab, select the Save space and download files as you use them box.
After you enable this feature, you can change the status of the file by right-clicking on them and select View online or Always keep on this device or Free up space.
If the issue persists, please provide us with the following information:
- May I know the version of OneDrive app? To get this information, right-click the blue OneDrive icon, Select Settings and go to About tab, check under About Microsoft OneDrive section.
- Please confirm whether you are signed in with your personal account or work or school account.
- A screenshot of Settings tab in OneDrive sync client.
Regards,
Neha
