I accidentally told the android onedrive app to open all docs in onedrive and no longer have the option to open files in other apps. How do I undo that?

    Dear JAPartridge

    Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

    Based on your description, I understand that you accidentally set the opening settings for documents in OneDrive and need to clear these default settings. I understand your feelings and this problem is indeed troubling.

    We can undo the settings for opening files by restoring the default settings of the OneDrive app:

    -> Reset OneDrive

    • First, completely shut down OneDrive, and you need to shut down background programs as well;
    • Open the device's [Settings]. Find the application list or the application settings list.
    • In the list, find and click OneDrive. In the application's information interface, check if there is an option for [Manage] or [Storage];
    • In the options, Click [Clear Data]. This option will clear the settings in all apps.
    • After completion, exit [Settings]. Reopen OneDrive and see how it works.

    You can then open any document and check if there is an option to [Open in other apps] at the bottom of the interface.

    And please confirm whether Microsoft 365 copilot or a separate Office app is installed on your device to ensure that the Office document can recognize the installed apps on the device.

    If resetting OneDrive doesn't work, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive to allow OneDrive to re-establish interaction with other apps on the device.

    I hope the above information is helpful to you. We are looking forward to hearing from you and will continue to assist you.

    Best Regards,
