Ferdinand Nanalig 26,200 Reputation points Independent Advisor2025-08-22T08:49:37.82+00:00 Hi, I am an Independent Advisor, and welcome to Microsoft Q&A.
I understand you are having problems opening Roblox.
Please try to uninstall and reinstall the Roblox App.
Follow the steps below.
Close Roblox completely
Make sure Roblox and the Roblox Player/Studio are not running in the background.
Right-click the taskbar and then click on Task Manager, look for Roblox, and end any Roblox processes.
After that, uninstall via Settings.
Press Win + I to open Settings.
Go to Apps > Installed Apps (or Apps & Features).
Find Roblox (Roblox Player and Roblox Studio may appear separately).
Click the 3 dots > Uninstall > Confirm.
Delete leftover files (optional but recommended)
Press Win + R, type:
%localappdata%
and hit Enter.
Delete the Roblox folder if it’s still there.
You can also check %appdata% and delete any Roblox folders.
Restart the computer, and then reinstall Roblox.
Follow the steps below.
Open your browser, Edge or Google Chrome, and go to the official Roblox site: https://www.roblox.com
( Please don’t use third-party sites to avoid malware)
Log in to your Roblox account.
Try to join any game, and it will prompt you to download and install Roblox.
Run the installer (RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe) and follow the on-screen steps.
Once installed, launch any game again, and Roblox should open normally.
Or you can reinstall through the Microsoft Store.

Ferdinand Nanalig 26,200 Reputation points Independent Advisor2025-08-22T10:05:45.5+00:00 Please try to reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Runtimes
Roblox depends on VC++ libraries. Corruption here causes memory dumps.
Go to Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features.
Uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. The latest version is v14.44.35211.0
Reinstall fresh copies from Microsoft:

Ferdinand Nanalig 26,200 Reputation points Independent Advisor2025-08-22T10:28:02.42+00:00 Please get the crash logs from the Event Viewer. I will try to analyze it for you.
Please follow the steps below.
Press Win + R, type:
eventvwr.msc
and press Enter.
In the left panel, expand:
Windows Logs → Application
On the right, click Filter Current Log…
In the pop-up, check Critical and Error.
Click OK.
Look for entries at the exact time Roblox crashed.
The “Source” might be Application Error, .NET Runtime, or something like RobloxPlayerBeta.exe.
Double-click the error.
In the details, look for lines like:
Faulting application name (should say RobloxPlayerBeta.exe)
Faulting module name (example: ntdll.dll, ucrtbase.dll, d3d11.dll, etc.)
Exception code (example: 0xc0000005, 0xc0000409)
Copy or screenshot those details and share them here.
Thanks!
