Hello, I just got a new computer for Christmas. It's a Windows 11 HP Victus Gaming Laptop and I've been having some issues with using my function keys. My volume keys are F5mute, F6decrease, and F7increase. Whenever i try to turn my volume down, it opens the search bar, whenever i try to turn my volume up, it asks if i want to turn caret browsing on, and when i go to mute, it refreshes the page. When I use fn + esc to release function lock, it pops up with the image below. Additionally, when I go to increase my brightness (F3), it opens the search page tool (ctrl+f). When I go to decrease my brightness (F2), it simply doesn't work.User's image

The actions associated to the function keys (F1 - F12) are not controlled by Windows, they are controlled by the PC manufacturer, because those actions vary from PC to PC.

If pressing a function key does not produce the correct action, try pressing Fn + a function key.

If that does not resolve the problem, boot your laptop into BIOS, and look for a setting to toggle between Function keys and Action/Media Keys.
