Minecraft Java Edition missing after Mojang to Microsoft migration

I redeemed a Minecraft Java Edition prepaid card in 2021 and received a confirmation email from Mojang ("Redeemed prepaid card").

After the Mojang to Microsoft account migration, I can no longer access my Minecraft account. The game does not appear as owned in the Minecraft Launcher.

I have tried logging in with multiple Microsoft accounts, but none of them show Minecraft as purchased. I also no longer remember my original in-game Java username.

I have already submitted a support ticket to Minecraft Support and can provide screenshots of the prepaid card redemption email and PIN if needed.

My question is:

Is there any way to identify which Microsoft account a Minecraft Java Edition was migrated to, or any additional steps I should take while waiting for support?

Hi,

In my case, I had a problem with my cousin. We discovered his Microsoft account because of the email address, since he had Minecraft on a Mojang server. This Mojang account was the same one he used for the console version. The Java version he had was then transferred to that account, but he didn't realize it. That's when we checked his emails and confirmed it, verifying in the order history that the Java & Bedrock bundle was there. He only had Java, but after migrating, he got Java and Bedrock.

In this case, you need to check your email for what you've already received and your order history to see if it's there.
