Error 0x80070005 indicates an access/permissions problem when installing or updating an app from Microsoft Store (in this case, Minecraft). Use these steps on Windows 11:

    1. Run Microsoft Store/Xbox app as administrator
      • Select Start, type Microsoft Store (and also Xbox if using it).
      • Right‑click each app and select Run as administrator.
      • Try installing Minecraft again.
    2. Check Windows Update service
      1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
      2. In Services, find Windows Update.
      3. If the status is not Running, right‑click Windows Update and select Start.
      4. Close Services and retry the install.
    3. Temporarily disable McAfee antivirus and retry
      1. Open the McAfee app from Start.
      2. In its Settings/Protection area, look for an option to disable or pause real‑time protection or firewall.
      3. Choose a short duration (for example, 10 minutes or 1 hour).
      4. With protection temporarily disabled, try installing Minecraft again from Microsoft Store/Xbox app.
      5. Re‑enable McAfee as soon as the test is complete.

If the installation works only when McAfee is disabled, configure McAfee to allow Microsoft Store/Xbox and Minecraft traffic, or contact McAfee support for help creating the appropriate exclusions.
