When I click on mailings, the options show up but only labels and envelops and when I select either labels or envelops the program locks up.

    Hello Oscar O Bejarano

I can see that your Word mailing tab locks the program when you click and select labels or envelops.

Since Word only locks up when opening Mailings > Labels or Envelopes, please first check whether the same issue happens in Word Safe Mode. Safe Mode helps test whether an add-in or extension is causing Word to hang. Press Windows + R, type winword /safe, then select OK and try Mailings > Labels/Envelopes again.

If it works in Safe Mode, please disable Word add-ins:

    • Open Word normally.
    • Select File > Options > Add-ins.
    • In Manage, choose COM Add-ins, then select Go.
    • Clear the add-ins, select OK, restart Word, and test again.

If it still freezes, the next likely area to check is the printer/driver side, because Labels and Envelopes depend on printer and page setup settings.

Try setting another printer such as Microsoft Print to PDF as the default printer, then reopen Word and test Labels/Envelopes again. If that helps, update or reinstall the printer driver.

If the issue continues after that, run an Office repair from Windows Installed apps/Apps & features > Microsoft 365 > Modify. Start with Quick Repair, and if needed, use Online Repair.

I hope this helps narrow down whether the freeze is caused by an add-in, printer driver, or the Office installation itself.

Feel free reply back to this post and update me on this issue, I'll be happy to help.
