Visual Studio Office Tools-vstor_redist.exe

Hello All,

My goal is to install Visual Studio Office Tools 10 for Windows 10. These tools are used and are dependencies for Tableau (x64) and SAS Enterprise Guide (x86). When the vstor_redist.exe is installed I see entries into my Control Panel "Programs and Features" for the following:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable -10.0.40219

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable -10.0.40219

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x64)

Is the vstor_redist.exe installing both the x86 and x64 software on my PC. If so will the x86 software work along with the x64 software?

    Nope. The x86 and x 64 Redistributables are components of VS tool for office runtime. As control panel shows, there is only VS tool for runtime (x64) on your PC. The installer detects the platform of the OS (x86 or x64) and only installs the version matching the OS.
