A Wi-Fi profile stores your school's network connection details. When you assign a profile to a group, users and devices in that group can automatically connect to your school's network with no manual setup required.
This article describes how to configure Wi-Fi profiles for Windows and iOS devices.
Supported device platforms
Devices running Windows support Wi-Fi profiles. iOS devices enrolled through Apple School Manager also support Wi-Fi profiles.
Important
On October 14, 2025, Windows 10 reached end of support and no longer receives quality and feature updates. Windows 10 is an allowed version in Intune. Devices running this version can still enroll in Intune and use eligible features, but functionality isn't guaranteed and can vary.
Configure your profile
Windows and iOS Wi-Fi configurations vary slightly. Because of the differences, you must create an individual Wi-Fi profile for your school's Windows devices, and an individual one for your school's iOS devices.
Create Windows Wi-Fi profile

- Go to Groups. Select the group that's receiving Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings > Windows device settings.
- Expand the Network and connectivity category.
- Under Wi-Fi profiles, select Assign new (Windows) Wi-Fi profile.
- Enter the details of your school's wireless network. See Windows Wi-Fi settings in this article to learn more about each field.
- Select Create and assign profile. The profile is added to your Wi-Fi profiles list.
- Select the profile to assign it to your group.
- Select Save to save all Windows setting changes.
