Register on our website with your Microsoft account, which is the same account you use for other Microsoft services, such as email, Microsoft 365, or OneDrive. (Don't have a Microsoft account? Sign up now!) You can also register for the Windows Insider Program for Business with your work account.
Accept the terms of our Program Agreement and Privacy Statement and submit. Welcome to the Windows Insider Program!
Start running Windows Insider Preview Builds
Preparation
First, make sure you're ready for your computer to receive Windows Insider Preview Builds:
Make sure you're running a licensed version of Windows 11. Optionally, you can download a Windows Insider Preview ISO to get started.
Save your work. Your device will restart during setup.
Confirm your language is supported. Check supported languages.
Install the Windows Insider Preview Build
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program. Note: You must be an administrator on your device to see this setting.
If prompted to enable optional diagnostic data, select Open Diagnostics & feedback and toggle Send optional diagnostic data to On.
Return to the Windows Insider Program settings.
Select the Get started button. Link an account (use the Microsoft account you registered with). Then, select Continue.
Choose the channel through which you'd like to get Insider Preview builds. Learn about Windows Insider channels.
Review and accept Program Agreement and Privacy Statement.
Choose Restart now or Restart later to finish setting up your device.
Get on the latest preview build
After restarting, go to Settings > Windows Update.
Check for updates. Your device will download and install the latest Insider Preview build based on your selected channel.

Note
If you install an Insider Preview build in one channel, and you want to switch to a different channel, you might need to do a clean install of Windows and reset your Windows Insider settings on that device. Learn more about switching channels.
