Firewall problem

I want to add this website to my Microsoft firewall as it is blocking it at the moment. How can I do this? See message below

Could you please confirm the application which you are referring to? You have tagged the post as Azure Firewall Manager but have mentioned Microsoft Firewall in your question. Is it Azure Firewall or Windows Firewall? And you are trying to whitelist/allow an URL in that Firewall, is that correct?

Yes, I am trying to allow a url in that firewall. Ancestry.co.uk.

Thank you for the update. I don't think there is a way to add a website in Windows Firewall. You can only add trusted sites via Internet options as mentioned here : https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-windows_7/how-to-add-websites-to-ie11-win-7-trusted-sites/8675656d-b159-4d16-a33a-c310fe14e41b

You can also try obtaining the IP address of the website and adding it in Windows Firewall rule to allow it as mentioned here : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/74836/firewall-question.html

But since this is a Windows Firewall related query, I am retagging it appropriately, so that the Windows security experts can provide a better response.

Thanks for the links, the first is for Internet explorer and I use Chrome. The IP address is far too complicated for me to get my head around, I'm afraid. I have tried to look for security settings in Chrome and just found this, I couldn't see how to add a website. chrome://settings/security?search=security Thanks for your help anyway.

Removing the HTTP Referrer is not typical. I don't think that you will find anything in the Windows Firewall.

Your image shows "Ancestry Library Edition". I am not familiar with that. I found this site.

Bringing Ancestry to libraries,schools and other institutions

Could you describe how you access the site? There is no address bar in your image, so we can't tell what web site you are actually browsing or how you got there. Are you doing this on your own personal PC or are you running on shared pc at a school or library?

Do you launch Chrome and browse https://www.ancestry.com/ and then navigate from there? Are you clicking on a link or a bookmark? Have you tried running MS Edge and browsing that site?

Thank you for posting in Q&A!

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, Windows Defender doesn’t have setting for websites, we only can set programs, ports and IP addresses to be allowed in inbound rules of Windows Defender Firewall.

As a workaround, you could configure IE browser’s security zone and Trusted sites to allow them if you want to use IE to access this website:
