In Defender for Endpoint, I have recomendation to update VLC player to **3.0.18.0.
**

  1. I import VLC win32 app from new MS Store New integration to Intune.
  2. I distribute it to devices and see that app version does not change, it is still 3.0.16.0.
  3. I uninstall local version.
  4. I install VLC from Company Portal which is just imported and assigned.
  5. I still get 3.0.16.0 version installed.

So for me it seems, that MS defender does recommend newer version, but Store offers old one....

    Hello @Pavel yannara Mirochnitchenko !

I understand the concern since you get a Notification to update VLC but the Store APP is not updated

It is a common thing , the Store Apps could have stayed behind , while the vendor have already updated the Retail version

You can select to remediate the Alert by either ignoring or try to deliver the App as a Download from the recommended version directly from the VLC website. This will bypass the Microsoft Store and allow you to install the latest standalone version of VLC.

I guess you have Intune Active on the Store right >?

The workaround or current solution is to use winget source instead of msstore, but then we need to script the install, not use Intune store integration directly.
