First of all, it is really complicated to get to a place to ask a question on here. I don't want to set up an entire profile to ask this question. I also cannot understand how it is not already on here.

So I have a Surface with Windows 11, and an old laptop with Windows 10 using PowerPoint.

I just wanted to know why the animation option to have "first level paragraphs," i.e., each line appearing one-by-one pop up has disappeared. It was there about a week ago when I worked on my PPT for my class, and now there are no options. See the pics I added. It's using the "appear" animation, but it is the same for all.

I just wonder what happened to that very useful option.

    Hi @Stephen Rowland,

The "By 1st level paragraphs" will appear if the text box which you want to set animations has paragraphs within it. Please make sure you have set paragraphs for the text. You can share a sample file here so I can show you how to do it via screenshots etc.
