Azure CDN(Premium) is not caching media(videos) for UAE
I am using Azure CDN(premium) to cache the media file such as videos, images which are stored in Azure storage account. It works for other countries nicely but not working only for UAE.I haven't put any cdn rule to restrict any country. Please kindly assist me on this.

2023-11-16T08:34:59.4133333+00:00 Hello @Jothi K ,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.
I understand that you are using Azure CDN Premium from Edgio to cache media file stored in your Azure Storage account and it works for all countries except UAE.
Could you please let me know how are you validating this?
Regards,
Gita

2023-11-16T16:45:26.04+00:00 Thanks Gita for your reply. Yes we are using Azure CDN Premium from Edgio.
We have client application developed using angular which load the media files using the cdn url. The media file like video loads without buffering if the application opened in different countries like USA,Sweden,India,UK,etc., where as if the same application opened in UAE the same video is buffering a lot and not loading continuously as if it loads from storage account container blob instead of cdn cache.I am pretty sure that the video is cached to cdn.My understanding is the cdn is global hence I could not understand why its not working for UAE.

2023-11-17T06:43:40.54+00:00 @Jothi K , it is difficult to narrow down the issue with the available information.
Your understanding is correct that Azure CDN is a global solution with distributed network of servers that can efficiently deliver web content to users.
When you say that same video is buffering when opened in UAE, do you have the number of users affected?
If it is limited to a few users, this could happen if there is a bad network route between the client and the AFD POP. This could be because of an ISP issue, or the customer is using a VPN, or they are a part of a corporate network that runs all traffic through a central, remote point.
To rule out the above, it is always recommended to try from a different client in the same region, such as an Azure VM.
Did you try to access the application from an Azure VM in UAE and test if the issue persists?
Also, could you please let me know if tried to validate the CDN logs or reports for this issue?
In case you've not validated the above, I would like to engage with you offline for a much closer look, please send an email with subject line "ATTN gishar | Azure CDN (Premium) is not caching media(videos) for UAE" to AzCommunity[at]Microsoft[dot]com with the following details, I will follow-up with you.

2023-11-17T07:22:57.3766667+00:00 Thanks Gita for your quick response. The issues affects for whoever loads the url from UAE region. I tried to simulate that by using VPN connecting UAE region and I also see the same issue. I did check the logs of Cache Hit & Cache Miss of CDN but it did not help much. I haven't done the diagnostic logs yet and haven't created Azure VM in UAE region and tried to load the url which I can do and check. I am happy to share the details you asked for to the email id you mentioned. Thanks a lot for interest to help us. Much appreciated.

Please create an Azure VM in UAE region and try to load the URL for testing. And do share the details over email as requested, for further discussion on this issue.
