Word support in Document Intelligence layout model (2023-10-31-preview) is not extracting selection marks

The support of Word documents in the Document Intelligence layout model (2023-10-31-preview) is not extracting selection marks properly.
Once a word is uploaded no selection marks get extracted within the https://documentintelligence.ai.azure.com/studio layout model (version 2023-10-31-preview). If one converts the Word into a PDF all selection marks are detected and shown.

Is this a known problem?
Will there be a fix / issue?

I used the https://documentintelligence.ai.azure.com/studio platform and I'm based in Germany. Not sure which resource region was used in this case.

Hello, the layout model still not supports the selection mark extraction and skips images in the word document.

Are any enhancements planned for release ?

Hello @Nico , Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

Looks like this is a known issue. We have shared your feedback to the product team. The product team confirmed that they are aware of this 2023-10-31-preview selection mark performance.

Looks like this is in the roadmap. Unfortunately, we don't have any ETA at this moment to share with you. Please continue to check the what's new page for latest information.
