Having issue with SSL certificate configuration.
We have created a Application gateway on Azure to do load balancing on the Layer 7 for routing decisions in the HTTPS traffic, unlike Layer 4 based load balancers, this was done as we are looking over to migrate our Big Manufacturing Client’s servers from AWS to Azure, where it is currently deployed on over 20 locations across India. For the creation of Application Gateway we followed this guide:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/application-gateway/quick-create-portal
It helped us create a Application gateway and we have also attached 2 VM which are added in the Backend pool for the load balancing working in HTTP format, but it still didn't solve our problem of making the Application Gateway secure using HTTPS connection, for that we have bought a $69.99 Annual Standard CA certificate from App Service Certificate Service of Azure. Even after applying the CA certificate by following the guide of adding it to a Key Vault in Azure and verifying the domain ownership on another DNS service, we still aren't able to see the certificate to be valid on web browsers.
