We are hosting an application that encounters a bug with fetch in nodejs. This bug has been fix in nodejs version 20.10 LTS.
Currently linuxFxVersion: 'NODE|20-lts' will use version 20.9 with the bug present.
When will a newer version of node 20 LTS be available for Azure App Service?

Hello @Allan Kimmer Jensen thanks for your patience. Node 20.11.1 will be available for Azure App Service in the next few months but currently we don't a specific date to share. You can refer to the Azure docs or the app service blog for future updates

Hi @Grmacjon-MSFT , been a couple of months now and this bug is seriously restricting our work since Azure DevOps npm install tasks fail about 75% of the time on windows agents. It is so bad it has costs us hundreds of hours of additional build time and an insane amount of additional effort getting deployments to actually go through.
I need an ETA to be able to manage my customer's expectations, and to be honest I'm not able to defend this any longer..
I do not understand how Microsoft is not able to give a more transparent roadmap on Azure-related functionality. Announced features can potentially be delivered next week but might as well take YEARS to actually be GA, it is completely unreliable.
Honestly, it's pretty insane that we can't use nodejs in the latest version. At this point I would suggest everyone to just host their nodejs apps in their own docker instances if they stick with Azure - but you have to wonder why this simple upgrade can take so long.
