Issue with selecting text-embedding-3-small and text-embedding-3-large as embedding models in Azure AI Search Service and Azure OpenAI Service integration

I am experiencing an issue when trying to select the text-embedding-3-small and text-embedding-3-large embedding models in my Azure AI Search Service while connecting it to Azure OpenAI Service. Despite being implemented several days ago, these models are not showing up, whereas the ada-text-embedding-002 model is working fine.

I have already tried using an Azure OpenAI Service in the same region as the Azure AI Service, but unfortunately, it did not resolve the issue. I have also ensured that all necessary configurations and dependencies are in place.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution?

Hi @Jeannot Damoiseaux Where are you trying to use the models from ("on your data" (Using your data with Azure OpenAI Service - Azure OpenAI | Microsoft Learn), "integrated vectorization (Integrated vectorization - Azure AI Search | Microsoft Learn)"?)

You can use these models in your pipeline and add to the search index, however, if you're talking about integration from the built-in tools, usually it takes a few months for the new models to be integrated since they're part of a different API and shipped with other product features
