Does anyone know of a basic "preparer-converter" that takes a markdown (.md) file and converts it into an SSML file?

    Hi @ivo welch

Thank you for using the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Have you tried the speech studio portal? You should check the audio content creation tile under TTS section which should allow you to generate an audio file for up to 20000 characters as a text file or SSML format file.

It also allows you to try different voices with modulation. This page usually helps to get the right voice settings required for any automation requests that can be used in future requests, including an option to use the SSML format or elements. See this page, if you haven't come across before.

I tried saving the .md as .txt and then uploaded in the "Manage Files" in the "Audio content creation" studio portal. There should be a "toggle" button for SSML.

User's image Toggle: Try to Toggle -> Save -> Export.

User's image After Toggling: User's imageOther than this above workaround, there is no built-in tool or service that converts markdown (.md) files to Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) files.

I hope you understand. Thank you.
