"Report when the activity runs for more than xxx seconds" not working

Question

We detected that the setting ""Report when the activity runs for more than xxx seconds" is not working anymore.
Yesterday there was an activity which has been running up to 2 days without reporting, although we set the time to 900 seconds. Due to that I tested the functionality. I built a custom activity which just wait for 10 seconds and set the report time to 5 seconds.

Advanced logging for the runbook is also enabled

After 10 seconds the activity finished but there was not event_entry

Our Version: System Center Orchestrator 2022 (10.22.2.0)

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with the “Report when the activity runs for more than xx seconds” setting.

Could you please check all "tabs" of the Runbook (Log, Log History, Audit History, Events) for additional details. Anything in the Event Logs that might be helpful?

According to your description, it used to work fine, have there been any major changes recently? For example, Windows update, SQL upgrade...

Log History

Audit History (Only Runbook Creation entry)

Events (only Cleanup)

In the past the Events contains the required entry "It is taking longer than expected to execute the object...". I don't know since when and why it is broken
