Hi,

I have deployed Azure Backup Vault resource in portal and triggered backup for Azure Disk. In the overview of Azure Backup Vault resource the count of backups completed and failed are shown (PFA), but the values for supported metrics: 'Backup Health Events' & 'Restore Health Events' (doc) of Azure Backup Vault are not populated. Are Overview metrics & Supported Azure Monitors metrics not interlinked and triggering backup & restore does not populate value for Azure monitor metrics?

Please provide us a clarification on above concern. TIA.

Hello @Appmanager Zohocorp Thank you for reaching out to us through Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer any questions you may have!

Based on the details provided, I understand that you are using Azure disk backup and able to see the count of backups (completed and failed) but the values for supported metrics: 'Backup Health Events' & 'Restore Health Events' of Azure Backup Vault are not populated. This is because Azure Disk backup metrics are not supported yet. As of today, the following workload types are supported:

    • Azure VM, SQL databases in Azure VM
    • SAP HANA databases in Azure VM
    • Azure Files
    • Azure Blobs.
