How do I export my Word 365 custom settings?

In the past I have found these stored in the "Word.OfficeUI" file located in C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office)?

The user from which I wish to obtain these customizations from does not appear to have this file on their system any longer (they did in the past but do not any longer). Yet they still have their customizations available and use them. I need to share these Word customizations with other users.

    Hi @IvanParker-2315

In my environment, there is also no Word.OFFICEUI file under "%LocalAppData%/Microsoft/Office".

If you want to share the ribbon customizations with others, please try to export the ribbon's settings within an .EXPORTEDUI file:

    • Right-click in the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon....
    • Select Import/Export > Export all customizations.
    • Name your EXPORTEDUI file and select Save.

You can then share your EXPORTEDUI file, other users can import the file. To import an EXPORTEDUI file:

    • Right-click in the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon....
    • Select Import/Export > Import customization file.
    • Select your EXPORTEDUI file and then select Open.

If you want to share the QAT, please right-click in QAT, and do the same actions.

If you are referring to Quick Access Toolbar customizations, note that it is possible to save those in a *.dotx template as an alternative.
